David J. Lemieux, 69, passed on January 2, 2025. He was the husband of Donna J. (Mencarini) Lemieux. They would have been married for 48 years in February.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Theodore J. and Rhea (Dulude) Lemieux.
David had been employed for over 42 years by Osram Sylvania and its predisesors of Central Falls before retiring. He was involved in multiple sports during the Corning Glass and GTE years. He also served as past Treasurer of the Glass Workers Union and was a member of the 251 Teamsters Union. David was active with the Pawtucket Babe Ruth League and Pinecrest Little leauge. He also enjoyed playing cards, golfing and reading.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Heather Lemieux Turgeon, a son Leonard J. Lemieux, seven grandchildren, Lestat, Liam, Madilynn, Willow, Morgan, Elijah, and Lenore, two siblings, Susan Lemieux Belisle and Chonrie (Ann) Lemieux
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 2pm until 5pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI
Burial will be private.
